In 1894, a Civil War widow began caring for orphaned children in her home, unaware that her work would be the beginning of Boys and Girls Home. Over 100 years later, many things have changed, yet our mission remains the same: “We Change Lives.” For children of all ages, as well as adults, this is the place to find help.

Boys and Girls Home is a non-profit organization in Sioux City, Iowa, committed to improving the lives of children and families.



Professionals on our staff meet the contemporary needs of children and families through a blend of counseling, education, recreation, and supportive living environments. Programs include:
• Outpatient Therapy
• Residential Services
• Alternative Education
